Day 1
- Your adventure kicks off in the Surabaya area, where our friendly guide and driver will pick you up at your hotel, train station, airport, or bus terminal—whatever works best for you.
- Then, we’ll drive about 3-4 hours to the Mount Bromo area. Sit back and enjoy the changing scenery as you get a taste of the adventure ahead.
- If you start in the morning and the weather cooperates, we’ll make a quick stop at Madakaripura Waterfall on the way. A perfect spot to stretch your legs and snap some memorable photos.
- Once we arrive in the Bromo area, we’ll take you to your hotel so you can settle in and get ready for the excitement of Mount Bromo.
Day 2
- Kick off your Mount Bromo adventure bright and early—around 3:30 AM (earlier on weekends to dodge the crowds). Climb aboard your jeep and head to Penanjakan Hill, the top spot in East Java to watch volcanoes and mountains glow in the early morning light.
- After sunrise, the jeep drives you to the vast sea of sand. You can choose to cross it on foot or hop on a horse… Your call! This takes you to the stairs leading up to Mount Bromo’s crater.
- Climb up to the summit and marvel at the breathtaking volcanic scenery all around. Snap every shot you can, and when you’ve had your fill of awe, swing back down to your waiting jeep.
- Return to the hotel for a hearty breakfast, a refreshing shower, packing up, and a last peek at the stunning mountain scenery before hitting the road.
- Hit the road toward the Ijen Crater area, a scenic 5–6 hour drive past rice fields, plantations, villages, small towns, and even some coastline. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant along the way.
- By late afternoon or early evening, we’ll arrive at your hotel in the Ijen Crater area, just about an hour from the crater itself.
- Unwind and get ready for a good night’s rest, because tomorrow morning it’s all about trekking up to the mesmerizing Ijen Crater.
Day 3
- Start your day bright and early around 5:00 AM for the Ijen Crater adventure. Our car will take you to the village of Licin, then continue up the slope of Ijen, passing through lush plantations and a rare rainforest filled with towering trees and vibrant wildlife.
- The drive from the hotel to the Ijen parking area takes about an hour. From there, prepare for a 1–1.5 hour hike to the crater. Along the way, enjoy the fresh mountain air and chirping birds.
- Reach the summit at around 2,385 meters (about 7,824 feet) above sea level. Be wowed by the turquoise acid lake below. Don’t forget your camera! The views from above are absolutely picture-perfect.
- Watch in awe as the sulfur miners work tirelessly, carrying loads up to 80 kilograms (about 176 pounds) along the crater’s edge. A truly remarkable and dangerous job.
- After soaking in the views, descend back to the parking area where your car awaits. We’ll make a quick stop at local coffee and clove plantations before heading into Banyuwangi.
- Back in Banyuwangi, pick up your bags and drive to Ketapang. Take the ferry across to Gilimanuk in Bali, then we’ll escort you to your hotel to rest and conclude the tour.
